Graduate Developer

The Job Role

We are looking for a talented Graduate Web Developer to join an ambitious, high-growth SME who are disrupting Transport & Infrastructure markets. This is a great opportunity to join this small but passionate team of developers, to work with the latest technologies and gain valuable experience across a range of innovation and digital transformation initiatives for a portfolio of high-profile clients across the UK. The role is hybrid (Lichfield/Home) so candidates MUST be UK based (Please see details of remote working requirements below).

Key Skills Required:

  • Some experience or exposure to C# Web Application development in ASP.NET Core or ASP.NET
  • Have some understanding of RESTful API’s
  • Use of client-side technologies such as: JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • A logical approach to identifying and solving problems as well as a strong ability to collaborate and communicate with others.
  • Nice to Have:

  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Angular, Vue.js and Next.js
  • Understanding database technologies such as MongoDB and SQL Server
  • Exposure to DevOps
  • Unit testing
  • Cloud/Azure
  • The role will provide you with the opportunity to:

  • Work alongside and be mentored by our small but highly skilled software development team.
  • Use the ASP.NET Core framework designing and developing web API applications.
  • Develop aspects of front-end web applications.
  • Use object-oriented languages such as C#.
  • Develop, test and implement effective software applications, providing future maintenance and support.
  • Develop an understanding of business processes and working towards the organisations goals.
  • Assist the team with new applications and upcoming projects.
  • Deliver assigned tasks to agreed timescales.
  • Work with NoSQL database technologies.
  • Produce engaging and modern web applications using ASP.NET Core, React, Angular and other cutting edge technology.

  • *The business offers remote working, however there is a requirement to get together nominally 1 day/week in Lichfield, Staffs to collaborate on projects and support client visits as required, so the ability to travel within the UK and have a clean/valid UK driving license is essential.
